Low-code, no-code: Accelerating value for commercial and charitable organisations

By Salocin Group | 12 May 2025

Across commercial industries and not-for-profit sectors, more organisations are seeking more efficient, scalable tech solutions, without the overheads of traditional software development. Low-code and no-code platforms are rapidly emerging as the answer for digital transformation and customer journey automation.

According to Gartner, 70% of new applications developed by enterprises will use low-code or no-code technologies by the end of this year (2025). And Forrester reports the low-code market reached $13.2 billion in 2023, with 87% of enterprise developers using low-code tools – this is expected to rise to $50 by 2028. This is more than a trend – it’s a structural shift in how digital transformation and connected customer experiences are delivered.

Low-code/no-code platform suitability

Low-code/no-code platforms are uniquely well-suited to mid-sized organisations. Many of these organisations face a common dilemma – they have big ambitions but limited budgets, small tech teams and mounting pressure to deliver digital-first services that improve customer experience and retention.

LCNC solutions offer a powerful middle-ground. They allow business users to build applications, automate workflows and integrate systems, without relying entirely on IT teams or expensive third-party development. This speeds up delivery cycles, reduces costs and empowers teams to solve problems directly.

For example, a fundraising director at a national charity may need to automate donor journeys but lacks the budget or technical team to build bespoke tools. A no-code solution enables their team to implement and adapt workflows themselves, delivering measurable results quickly and affordably.

Low-code/no-code platform benefits

One of the most compelling benefits of LCNC platforms is their ability to accelerate business process automation. Manual, spreadsheet-heavy processes can be turned into streamlined, automated workflows, with drag-and-drop interfaces. This enables teams to move from concept to deployment in days, not months.

This results in faster ‘speed to value’ – the time it takes to realise the benefits of a new system or process. Whether it’s onboarding supporters, automating approvals or launching digital campaigns, LCNC platforms empower organisations to implement change rapidly and iteratively.

Critically, this approach also integrates well with legacy systems. Many LCNC tools come with built-in connectors to popular platforms like Microsoft, Salesforce, or cloud-based databases, so organisations don’t need to start from scratch. This makes them a highly pragmatic choice for organisations modernising in phases or seeking CRM consultancy that aligns with agile delivery.

Creatio – leaders in no-code innovation

Among many platforms on the market, Creatio stands out as a leader in no-code innovation. It offers a robust no-code platform for process automation and CRM, helping organisations unify workflows and customer engagement in one system.

Creatio’s position is backed by numerous achievements and accolades in several leading industry award categories. For example, it was named a Visionary in Gartner’s 2023 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Low-Code Application Platforms and Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Low-Code Platforms for Citizen Developers, Q1 2024.

These recognitions reinforce Creatio’s suitability for organisations looking to empower non-technical users, while maintaining enterprise-grade flexibility, scalability and security.

Salocin Group technology ecosystem

As we expand our tech-agnostic advisory practice, we’re committed to offering a broader suite of solutions tailored to the evolving needs of our clients. Our role isn’t just to recommend platforms; it’s to ensure they’re implemented strategically, aligned to business outcomes and successfully adopted.

Our existing partnerships with Microsoft, Apteco and Salesforce provide a strong foundation for CRM, data and insight solutions. The addition of Creatio will strengthen this ecosystem with a solution particularly well-suited to mid-market clients and not-for-profits looking for fast, flexible and scalable transformation.

Tailoring solutions to our clients

Every organisation we work with faces unique challenges:

  • Fundraisers need modern tools to personalise supporter journeys and optimise retention but often face resource and budget constraints.
  • CMOs are under pressure to deliver ROI from omnichannel marketing, while integrating siloed systems and keeping up with rapidly changing customer expectations.
  • CTOs must modernise infrastructure and deliver digital transformation, while proving ROI and balancing compliance with innovation.

For each of these challenges, low-code and no-code platforms present a practical, future-ready solution. They allow for meaningful innovation without excessive costs, steep learning curves or long delivery times.

Looking ahead

Low-code and no-code solutions are no longer a niche option; they’re becoming a core part of digital transformation strategies. As we continue to evolve our services and partnerships, platforms like Creatio will allow us to bring agile, scalable and high-impact solutions to more of our clients.

Stay tuned for the formal announcement of our partnership with Creatio. In the meantime, we look forward to sharing more insights at the upcoming Creatio No-Code Days Florida 2025.
