We’re pleased to announce that Gary Arnold has joined Salocin Group as Managing Partner of our Advisory & Consulting Practice – marking a welcome return to the business where his consulting journey first began.
Gary spent 16 years at Edit (formerly Occam), now a Salocin Group brand where he held many roles that spanned technology, client services, and strategic consulting. Now, with a wealth of additional experience under his belt, Gary rejoins the Edit fold, in a pivotal role – leading and evolving our group-wide advisory capability.
In his new position, Gary is will be embedding advisory-led delivery throughout Salocin Group. His mission is to ensure clients not only receive strategic insight but also experience the tangible implementation and value that stems from it. “Too often, consultancy stops at PowerPoint,” Gary explains. “But our model of advisory-led delivery is different – we stand behind our recommendations and stay the course with our clients, from diagnosis to execution. It’s about identifying the right problem to solve, validating the business case, and partnering right through delivery to see the outcomes through.”
Gary’s focus will include:
- Developing and structuring the advisory practice
Building repeatable, insight-driven methodologies that integrate seamlessly across our brands Edit, Join the Dots, and Wood for Trees. - Scaling consulting capacity
Mentoring a mix of seasoned consultants and rising talent to bring a robust, diverse skillset to every client engagement. - Driving innovation
Focussing on data strategy, sales and marketing tech, AI enablement, and privacy-first customer experience. - Fostering commercial alignment
Working with product, sales, and subject matter experts to ensure advisory unlocks new revenue streams and drives better client outcomes.
Before returning to Salocin Group, Gary spent four years as European Director of Data Strategy at Kin + Carta. There, he built a new consulting proposition from the ground up, working with brands such as Twinings Ovaltine, Dunelm, Domino’s, and Royal Canin on transformative data and marketing strategies.
In his role at Kin + Carta Gary was responsible for both delivery and commercial success across key accounts. His work has spanned everything from customer data platforms and organisational design to e-commerce transformation – always with a results-first mindset and a deep focus on customer value.
Returning to Salocin Group is a rare opportunity to come back to a place that feels familiar, but with a fresh sense of purpose and possibility. I’m excited to help shape an advisory model that isn’t just theoretical – one that gets implemented, tested, and optimised in-market. With our brilliant teams and fantastic clients, I believe we can truly differentiate by delivering not just smart thinking, but meaningful outcomes.
