And what that means for our clients

Hey there, I’m Corbs!

Also known as Emma Corbett, and I work for Edit – part of Salocin Group where we specialise in leveraging data and technology to enhance customer experiences. Whether it’s B2B or B2C, we help brands level up their marketing, sales, and customer service. I’m the lucky one who gets to run the Microsoft practice at Edit and I absolutely love it!

How it all started

Microsoft selected us to be their implementation launch partner for Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Data, in 2021. This Customer Data Platform (CDP) combines and enriches data in real time to deliver personalised customer experiences.

This high-profile launch was managed by Microsoft’s Principal Program Manager from the Customer Advisory Board – Raphael Vonderküste, and with his amazing support, Edit successfully implemented this innovative technology for a number of their global clients, establishing itself as Microsoft’s global leader. Following these successful implementations, Edit expanded its Business Applications capabilities to include Microsoft’s marketing automation platform – Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys, and more recently, Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service.

FastTrack to the VIP list

Due to the expansion of Edit’s Dynamics product suite capabilities and coupled with their continual proven success, we were lucky enough to be invited by Paul Maré – Global FastTrack Expansion Lead from Microsoft, to join the FastTrack Portfolio Partner Engagement model. A new relation-based model for FastTrack Portfolio Partner so to be able to draw on their experience for all Edit’s client projects regardless of size, is truly invaluable.

What does having FastTrack’s backing mean in practice?

This partnership provides Edit with direct access to Microsoft’s FastTrack Solution Architects. Edit and the FastTrack team meet weekly to discuss implementation progress, technical requirements and need for architectural guidance for customer projects, feedback on product features and functionality, as well as feedback on findings from FastTrack’s Success by Design workshops. This approach ensures that our implementations follow Microsoft’s Success by Design (SbD) principles and adopt the Centre of Excellence (CoE) framework of the FastTrack Portfolio Partner Engagement model where best practices are adhered to.

It’s a big deal!

Here’s why we’re so pleased to be part of FastTrack:

  • Edit has access to all Success by Design workshops, to identify risks and issues, ensure alignment to best practices, and deliver prescriptive architectural guidance for all our projects
  • We have direct access to the Microsoft FastTrack for Dynamics 365 team to discuss topics from all projects in our portfolio
  • We can influence Microsoft’s product roadmap via the Partner Pulse feedback sessions
  • We have access to FastTrack product implementation and technical knowledge library

How’s it panned out?

Since teaming up with FastTrack, our deployments are quicker, our customers are happier, and we’re climbing the ranks like champions. Right now, we’re sitting pretty in third position in the EMEA Portfolio Programme out of 40 partners. This achievement has only been possible due to the unwavering support from our awesome FastTrack Solution Architects, Robert Rensen and Raju Birru.

But we’re not stopping there. We’ve got our sights set on reaching the number one spot (it was a promise I made to Paul Maré after being accepted into the programme), and plan to keep growing our Microsoft Business Applications practice underpinned by a solid CoE framework. More meetings, more innovation, more happy clients!

Our goals for 2025 and beyond

Salocin Group aims to expand their Microsoft practice to achieve a fivefold increase in revenue by 2027, delivering leadership in data-driven, AI-enabled Connected Customer Experiences (CCX).

We believe the expertise and guidance we receive from the FastTrack team will play a vital part in helping us achieve this ambitious growth target and coupled with the adoption of FastTrack’s Success by Design framework, means we can scale at speed whilst delivering first class implementations every time. We are really excited to be expanding our Dynamics 365 Sales, Service and Customer Insights practice, along Power Platform and Azure capabilities, to create more happy clients.

TL;DR

Edit + Microsoft FastTrack = better, faster, smarter deployments with a side of experts from the FastTrack team. We’re loving this partnership and can’t wait to see where it takes us next. Stay tuned!
